Goddess Mode

His sand-colored skin looks as if he just left a Caribbean island. And that damn smile. It invites me in. I say that I will not be a part of work affairs, but he is sitting in front of me. We are in a new environment. Outside of work. Libations fueling what we both can’t deny.

“How does it taste?”

“Good. I have a taste for something else, though.”

I need him to make the move. I’ve left it wide open, just like I want him to have me spread. My eyes tell him that I am ready. Is he listening?

“I need to go to my car. Would you mind walking with me? I don’t want any ladies attacking me or anything.”

“Of course,” I laugh. “I wouldn’t want you to get hurt.”

Outside the chill air flows over my skin. I stand next to his car while he takes a blunt from the glove compartment. I didn’t know he smokes. He holds it out to me and I accept. I look around making sure the coast is clear. The hit couldn’t have come sooner. I sink into the moment.

He grabs one of my box braids and his fingers trail down to where it ends, at my nipple. His hand lingers there as he twists the end, blowing out smoke. He is lucky I like him because no one touches my hair. I watch him, watching me, as he passes the blunt to me. He gives an unforgettable smile. Full of promises and secrets.

A low vibration bites into our silent conversation. He pulls his phone from his pocket, eyes locking on the name. He looks at me, and then he answers. I listen as he speaks to her. He explains that he shouldn’t be too late but the guys want to go to another bar. I look away. I should go. I begin to walk back to the building and he grabs my arm, stopping.

I didn't notice that he’d hung up.

“Come with me,” he says.
